The police station said that it received a report that a man was harassing a 4-year-old girl on Avenida Vallarta between Camarena and Rayón.
Police officers came, and saw several people struggling. A 29-year-old woman pointed to a subject, and said that he had kissed her 4-year-old daughter on the mouth.
In accordance with Article 142-L of the Jalisco Penal Code, child sexual abuse is performing an erotic-sexual act, without reaching copulation, on a minor or a person who does not have the capacity to understand the meaning of the act or to resist the act.
I. From one to four years in prison when the victim is between 12 and 18 years of age, or who does not have the capacity to understand the meaning of things or to resist the act; and
II. From 3 to 6 years in prison when the victim is under 12 years of age.
In case of copulation, the sanction can reach up to 25 years in prison.
